I just learned that I am one of the two July Flickr Photo winners for Collisions! How cool is that! Collisions makes this henna tattoo I am wearing, Lalita Chameli Tattoo. It is one of my favorite tattoos because the design seems to flow and evolve in just the right places adding a delicate touch to even the harshest warrior princess * grins * The outfit by The Plastik are the other creative factors in the image…. and since I have purchased another in white, more will come. Obviously more will come from Collisions as well…. blogging is terribly expensive so the store credit I just won totally rocks my socks…. or in this case tattoo! The image was taken while experimenting with WL and shadow settings… I still have a long way to go to match much of the awesomeness I see on Flickr…. but the challenge is half the fun (insert groaning graphics card here!) One day grasshopper…. one day. * smiles *

Casablanca
My third and final entry for the the Hair Fair Photo Contest. This image was a lot of fun to put together and I think it represents Casablanca well. I am inspired by love. I am a sap for romance, love songs, surprise roses, holding hands, small boxes wrapped in clever paper, good night kisses on the forehead and hearts. I cry during romance movies….. yep, a sap. Tank Girl
“Tank Girl” ranks relatively high on my list of favorite cult movies…. well if I actually had a list it would I should say. I originally watched the movie to see Iggy Pop and Ice-T but soon fell in love with the adorable Lori Petty who plays Rebecca/Tank Girl. I entered this image in the Hair Fair Photo Contest, Movies that Inspire Me. Who wouldn’t be inspired by a defiant girl who lives in a tank, hangs out with genetically modified supersoldiers spliced with kangaroo DNA, dates a mutant named Booga and fights to save the Earth’s water supply…. just sayin’

I thought I would share one of my entries in the Hair Fair 2013 Photo Contest tonight. The deadline to enter is tonight at midnight so hurry and get your entries in! This years theme is “Movies that Inspire Me.” This entry is obviously the Fifth Element. How could the reanimated cells of an ancient wrapped up in the adorable LeeLou character not be inspirational! Leeloo single-handedly defeats several Mangalores, learns an entire language in hours and then ends up saving Earth.

Gopu and I were playing around with Windlight settings and I decided to get dressed an shoot some images for the 2013 Oscar Fashion Photo Contest hosted by Around the Grid with Harper.
I adore the way this gown by Mohna Lisa Couture looks on Duchess. The bottom of the dress flows effortlessly as she struts her stuff and surprisingly I found the glitter to be fun (I originally thought it would be pretty annoying.) The dress comes in different strengths of opacity and I chose the Nude version…. go figure!
I am never quite satisfied with the updos I have come across but this sophisticated hair designed by A&A is perfect! It has a color changing flower on the side which I have shaded to black. The earrings are a new release from Zaara and they have a little exotic flair and are definitely unique…. perfect for this couture gown!
