The romantic soprano voice that belts out the lyrics to “Gloomy Sunday” that emit from this gramophone are nothing short of beautiful. I imagined the song to be a love song as I can sense the artist’s yearning and was surprised to learn the song is about a suicide which was a fulfilled promise to meet the author’s love in the afterlife. The gramophone is beautifully rendered and I love the way the metal glimmers as the record spins and the arm turns. The whole set is a work of art from Senzafine.

Meet Aeon Flux!
Today we purchased our first AI dog! Her name is Aeon and she is so freaking adorable! We have already started training her and I can honestly say, she is one smart and sassy cookie! I am smitten! Our real life dog, Chopper, has had to contend with the virtual meows from Renge on a daily basis and has finally gotten used to her after a couple years, and now the roaring bark of this fabulous Harlequin Great Dane has him in a tail spin. 
The Catnip Carnival actually gave us the idea to adopt a virtual dog. The Catnip Carnival is part of a project called Avatars for Animals, an effort to collect donations for animal related charities. It is a small event hosted by a group of designers that are donating 100% of the showcased item’s proceeds to the River Cities Humane Society for Cats. After grabbing the limited edition GOS Espadrilles that I HAD to have… I found myself in front of Pixel Mode’s Pooch Palace… and the rest is history. The Catnip Carnival runs to May 26th…… head there for the cats of River Cities. Meow!

Whipping Up a Decadent Mother’s Day Treat
Hi Everyone! I just got back from grocery shopping at Le Bistro where I picked up all the ingredients to make my mom the most awesome Mother’s Day gift! Well okay, I actually mailed my mother chocolate covered drizzled gourmet strawberries (because she truly is the greatest mom eva!) … but stick with me here……
Baking on Second Life is a snap with Le Bistro! I chose these cake pops since they are a mom favorite and look stunning! There is nothing better than making a gift that looks as if it came from a gourmet shop! First of all the ingredients are already added to the bowl, so there is no mess and no fuss (Unlike past cooking disasters )! A few clicks and you are mixing your little heart out… you can actually see the batter form! Another click pours the batter in the pan and off to your pixel oven!
This is my favorite part of cooking. That perfect moment when the room fills with the aroma of sweet cake. Ah breath it in…. no calories… so breath deep! Smell-o-vision would be good at this point… hmm an aroma hud!
After the cake cools you simply roll out the sheet and with a few more clicks apply the icing and cover them with decorations! Oh la la… almost better than Barbie and your Easy Bake Oven!

I am lovin’ the new belly piercings by Phoebe and wanted to take a shot to show them off. The center stud has a color changer with 9 smexy color options to coordinate with just about any outfit. The World According to Wine
After a long exhausting day of gardening and installing the awesome sauce kitchen in the new house, Sassy and I grabbed Gopu’s bottle of wine and hit the kitchen and …. well… the bottle. Sassy began making her famous fried chicken while I played bartender in my sweet little dress by FireBird Designs courtesy of this round of Pre-Release! The knife wielding Sassy is wearing new lingerie from Death Rocker Betty Crocker (how appropriate!) that is also available at Pre-Release. I spent most of the night clicking on all the interactive counters, dishes, food, utensils and poses… our sim is coming right along…. and I am loving my sweet kitchen!!

Dupu’s Isle of Dreams
We’ve been spending the last week revamping our sim and moving in to our new home, the Chateau La Lutiniere. I absolutely adore our new abode! The lavish textures and attention to detail really sets this build apart from all the countless builds I’ve encountered. I knew before I hit the top step… it was THE one! I couldn’t be happier. Chateau La Lutiniere is the creation of builders BlueSean Yiyan and Silex Zapedzki who have brought magnificent high quality haunted houses to the grid…. and now this fabulous French castle that is every princess’s dream! Our sim is no where near completion but I wanted to take a few portrait shots to line our halls…. and I just love these outfits…. so I decided to plaster them up here for all to see. The dress is a real show shopper (literally I was stopped 4 times and asked where it was from when we ran into the Armory for a moment!) and the outfit Gopu is wearing is fit for any duke!
